Molly McNamara

Title

Molly McNamara

Description

V1
Just a year a go I met her my Molly, my own,
And I never will forget her for she would grace a throne,
Altho’ she is kind as a girl can be,
Sometimes she seems quite in dif’rent to me,
Tis’ modesty only I plainly can see,
So I sing to her when we’re alone
V2
True she is and well I know it my Molly, so bright,
Tho’ I’m not a famous poet love songs to her I write,
The boys to win Molly have tried in vain,
She will not listen that’s why they complain,
She smiles when I sing her pleading refrain,
And that smile is a love telephone;
Refrain
Molly McNamara, like the desert of Sahara,
This world to me, will ever be,
Unless you’re by my side,
I love you, Molly only,
And without you life is lonely,
Don’t let me go, I want you, you know to become my bride.
