Slide, Bill, Slide

Title

Slide, Bill, Slide

Description

V1
Madelaine Mooney for baseball was looney
She’d rush to the game ev’ry day,
She’d root like a rooter if things didn’t suit her,
‘Twas awful the things she would say,
Now Bill was her steady, and when he got ready,
To lift up a few to the sky,
She’d yell, “Swat it Bill! You’ve got it Bill!1 Make a homerun or I’ll die
V2
Bill was a wonder he rapped it like thunder
Then all around the diamond he flew,
He landed on third, she cried Bill you’re a bird,
Oh Gee! But that’s going a few,
The next one to bat hit a corker with that,
Bill just started running for home,
She jumped to her feet, stood on the seat,
Then yelled as she did a “Salome.”
C
“Slide, Bill slide,”
Madelaine Mooney cried, “The score is even it’s two to two,
You make this run, and I’ll marry you,
Slide, Bill slide,”
Again sweet Madelaine cried,
“Just let’er rip Bill, and make a round trip Bill,
And slide, Bill slide.”
