My Kid

Title

My Kid

Description

V1
On the city highways down the country lanes
I have seen a million children playing at their games
As I watch those kiddies romping in the sun
I wish I could love them all like, I love the one that I call
V2
In this world if sinning in this world of lies
We had our beginning hearing mother’s lullabies
Happy days of childhood never will return
Still somehow I find a thrill ev’ry time I turn and look at
C
My kid to feel his little arms around me that’s paradise to me
I’ll tell the world he’s my kid
When through the day he’s not around me
I’m just as blue as can be but when I come home roaming in the gloaming he meets me with a smile
1) Hello daddy, hello ladies
2) Hello Muddy, hello Buddie
That’s when life is worth while and ev’ry night in is white little nightie
I hear him praying to God Almighty bless dad and mother
Gee there’s not another kid like my kid
That I call
